Tyson Fury was very impressed with Billy Joe Saunders' performance against David Lemieux and believes he would be a "nightmare for Canelo".
Speaking to BoxCaster after Saunders' unanimous decision win, the former Heavyweight king described the bout as "a boxing masterclass against a very dangerous opponent".
"He showed his level, he showed why he's a World Champion. There was 12 rounds of precise boxing, counter-punching," he continued. "With big punchers, they carry their power right through to the 12th round. So you've got to be careful and keep your wits about you."
Saunders' WBO World Middleweight Title defence was seen as a 50/50 match-up, but the Hatfield boxer outclassed and out-thought the Canadian.
When asked if Billy Joe should now be considered in the top 10 pound-for-pound debate, Fury replied: "Most definitely. He's undefeated, 26-0, Middleweight Champion of the world. Everyone he's boxed he's dealt with quite comfortably.
"On that performance, I'd definitely put him in the top 10 pound-for-pound on the world. He's a very awkward boxer. Anyone with slow feet and fast hands will struggle against him."
Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin are in talks for a rematch in May, but Fury would like to see Saunders take on Alvarez and backs his countryman to beat the Mexican.
"I'd like to see him fight Canelo Alvarez next, because I think that Billy Joe's movement, awkwardness and southpaw style would be a nightmare for Canelo."
Fury is planning a highly-anticipated return to the ring in 2018.
