戈洛夫金被认为会击败阿瓦雷兹，不论是训练或是击倒对手的记录等，很多人都看好戈洛夫金。

阿瓦雷兹今天回答媒体说；“对戈洛夫金没什么印象，从没有哪个对手吓到过我。我也很强壮，体格很好。我15岁就开始打拳击，打过很多比我强壮的对手，没有被谁吓到过”。

被问及是否已经准备好了九月份面对戈洛夫金，阿瓦雷兹说；“不，与小查维兹只是我重要的战斗之一，我从没有关注其它拳击手”。


Golovkin is viewed as the favorite to beat Canelo - if they face each other. GGG has knocked out 23 of his last 24 opponents. He is always in shape, trains in a whirlwind manner and at times he is even on weight a full month before a scheduled fight due to his impressive training pace. Canelo is not impressed or intimidated by Golovkin's tremendous shape, his training methods or his power.  "It does not impress me at all. Every opponent that I've faced has been well prepared and they were in great shape. That does not intimidate me or impress me at all. I also prepare very well, I have a good physique and I am a strong fighter. From the age of 15 I have fought with bigger and stronger boxers than myself and I have never been intimidated by anything," Canelo said. Canelo also denies that he's fighting Chavez Jr. as a way to prepare for a fall fight with Golovkin. "No, [the bout with Chavez Jr.] is just another important fight for me. I'm not focused on another boxer," Canelo said.

Canelo also denies that he's fighting Chavez Jr. as a way to prepare for a fall fight with Golovkin. "No, [the bout with Chavez Jr.] is just another important fight for me. I'm not focused on another boxer," Canelo said.

阿瓦雷兹也否认了他是为了备战戈洛夫金而去打查维兹的：“不，这场比赛我的一场重要比赛，我没有关注其他拳手。”
