Middleweight prospect Shane Mosley Jr. (10-1) is looking forward to the biggest fight of his career when he faces David Toussaint (10-0) on July 2nd on the Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn undercard. Both fights will be televised by ESPN along with Jerwin Ancajas-Teiru Kino**a and Michael Conlan-Jarrett Owen. The card will serve as the series premiere of ESPN's new multi-year agreement with Top Rank Inc. The network plans on announcing the rest of their summer lineup in the near future. "I'm excited and ready for this fight and I'm lucky and appreciative for the opportunity to be on the card. I think David Toussaint is a good fighter. He looks strong and fast," said Mosley.
The 26-year-old son of former three-division champion and future Hall of Fame member Shane Mosley Sr. went 5-0 in 2016 and is 1-0 so far in 2017. He plans on staying busy as he continues his progression to contender status. "After this victory I plan on staying as active as possible. I still want to get two to three more fights this year after this fight," he explained. Mosley traveled to Australia with his father on June 23rd to get acclimated to the drastic time zone change. He feels his fight may steal the show on the night that will air live in the U.S. on Saturday night. Close to 60,000 fans are expected to pack the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. "I just want to say thank you to all of the people that watch and support me. I appreciate you and I am going to always give you my best. It should be a great fight. I promise it will be action packed!" Mosley told BoxingScene.com.
