Amir Khan: Jacobs Beat Golovkin, Canelo Will Beat Him Too
British star Amir Khan is siding with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs) to unseat WBC, WBA, IBO, IBF middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) on September 16th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Khan has been out of the ring since moving up to a catch-weight of 155-pounds to challenge Canelo in May 2016. While he started well in the early going, Canelo ended the fight in the sixth round with a brutal one-punch knockout.
While Golovkin is the favorite to win next Saturday night, Khan is siding with the underdog to come out on top.

Khan was not impressed with some of Golovkin's most recent performances - including GGG's defense in March against Daniel Jacobs.
Against Jacobs at New York's Madison Square Garden, it was the first time where Golovkin was forced to go the twelve round distance to win a tough unanimous decision. Coming into that bout, Golovkin had stopped 23 opponents in a row and many had expected him to stop Jacobs.
Jacobs gave him some trouble in the contest and believes that he should have been given the decision. Golovkin also had some issues when he faced Khan's career rival last September, when he picked up a fifth round stoppage over Kell Brook, who was moving up by two weight divisions from the welterweight limit of 147-pounds.
"His last few performances have not been the best and against Daniel Jacobs he had a very tough fight," Khan told Boxing News.
"A lot of people thought he lost that and I was one of those guys. With Canelo, I’ve fought the guy, been in the ring with him and I think he is a class act, he is a good boxer who moves well and hits very, very hard.
"When people say that Triple G is the power puncher in this fight I think they might be wrong because I think Canelo also is one of the biggest punchers in the division. I just think Canelo wins this fight on points. He can box as well as punch."
