Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who promotes Terence Crawford (32-0, 23 KOs), states that there is no rematch clause in the upcoming contest with WBO welterweight world champion Jeff Horn (18-0-1, 12 KOs).
The contest takes place on June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
ESPN+ will carry the contest in the United States.
Crawford is the mandatory challenger to Horn's title - so there is no surprise that a rematch clause is not included for either boxer.
But if Horn wins, there could be a rematch - if Horn chooses.
"If Jeff Horn wins, it will be tremendous for him, he remains as the welterweight champion and he goes into the record books as one of the most elite fighters in the sport. This would be a massive thing for Horn to beat Crawford and he would get all of the accolades that come with it," Arum told The Daily Telegraph.
"There is no rematch clause in the contract. If Horn wins, and it's a great fight, and he wants to fight Crawford in a rematch in Australia - I'm sure Crawford will be amenable to that."
Last July in Brisbane, Horn was massive underdog in his bout against Manny Pacquiao.
Horn upset the odds by winning a twelve round unanimous decision over the Filipino legend.
Should Horn win, and Pacquiao wins a planned fight with WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Lucas Matthysse in July, there could be a rematch.
"I can't really talk about a rematch between Horn and Manny, because Manny is approaching the end of his career. But if Horn wins, he becomes the boss and a lot of elite fighters like Pacquiao, and others, will be knocking on his door looking to challenge him," Horn said.
"I think the winner of this fight between Jeff Horn and Terence Crawford will be considered the next big superstar of the welterweight division."
