霍亚证实了WBN曾经的预测，阿瓦雷兹VS戈洛夫金的复赛将不会在9月发生。
在之前的一系列文章中，WBN曾概述过，阿瓦雷兹在和戈洛夫金复赛之前可能需要一场热身赛。但霍亚说，洛夫勒告诉他，戈洛夫金可能不会再需要与阿瓦雷兹二番战了。
德拉霍亚对《拳击》杂志说；“我们很清楚，戈洛夫金不想和阿瓦雷兹战斗。很明显，他们的要求阿瓦雷兹做毛囊的测试，在VADA报名(自愿反兴奋剂协会)，而且在他参加VADA之前，必须由内华达州国家体育委员会随机测试，很明显，戈洛夫金是害怕阿瓦雷兹。

Oscar De La Hoya has confirmed what WBN already predicted, that a rematch with Gennady Golovkin will not happen in September.
In a series of previous articles, WBN had outlined Canelo would probably need a warm-up fight before any return with 'GGG', although De La Hoya has gone one further and stated Tom Loeffler told him there may be no second fight at all.
“It’s clear to us that Golovkin doesn’t want to fight Canelo,” De La Hoya told The Ring Magazine.
“It’s clear to us that after all the demands that they made, after Canelo having to do the hair follicle test, having to enrol in VADA [Voluntary Anti-Doping Association], having to be tested by the Nevada State Athletic Commission randomly even before he was enrolled in VADA, it’s clear that GGG is afraid.
“So we’re going to move on and I’m going to start ** phone calls to Jacobs’ people, to Saunders’ people, start ** calls to Charlo and O’Sullivan.
“Tom Loeffler (GGG’s promoter) told me GGG doesn’t want to fight. That’s all Tom said.
“They’re not going have a better deal than what they have now," he added.
Of the four De La Hoya mentioned, it's highly likely that opponent will be O'Sullivan as the Irishman was already promised the fight before the recent drug testing debacle.
O'Sullivan is lined up to fight Canelo in September, possibly at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Golovkin coming back into the frame for Cinco de Mayo 2019.
Should Golovkin continue his boycott of Canelo, Danny Jacobs would then be the favorite, closely followed by Saunders, provided he still has the WBO title in a year's time. |
