据BoxingScene网站的报道，32岁的小查维兹计划在6月22日这个暂定的日期回归，对手未定。自2017年5月点数完败给阿瓦雷兹后，没有参加过任何拳击比赛。

小查维兹说；“很高兴能再次进入拳台，我都会尽我最大的努力。我已经一年多没有战斗了，我真的很期待回到我的职业生涯。我现在更成熟，知道我自己想要什么了。我知道成为一名拳击手是多么困难，这个牺牲也是为了获得良好的回报。

我不想再输了，我已经输了三场了，如果再输的话我就退役，所以我告诉人们要对我抱最好的期望。在考虑和马丁内兹或卡内洛那样的大战之前，至少有两到三场准备战。

对卡内洛的比赛中，我受到了长时间缺乏运动和体重的影响。我不打算再拿我的职业生涯冒险，这就是我们必须以正确的方式恢复我的职业生涯的计划。”


Julio Cesar Chavez Jr: If I Lose Again - I Will Retire From Boxing

At 32 years of age and in the middle of being inactivity for almost two years since his last ring appearance in May 2017, former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. affirmed that he can't afford to lose his next fight.

As BoxingScene.com recently reported, Chavez Jr. is planning a ring return on the tentative date of June 22.

Chavez Jr. said that this break in his career has served him well to reflect on several things and realize that if he wants to aspire to secure important fights he must first prove himself in his reappearance.

"I'm happy because I'm going to fight. Whenever I get in the ring I try to give my best. I have gone more than a year without fighting, I'm really looking forward to returning, to my career, I'll come back with everything," Chavez Jr. said.

Then he added with a firm tone: "I do not intend to lose another fight, I have three losses, if I lose again I would retire, so I tell people to expect the best of me."

He noted that at this point in his career he feels more mature.

"There is excitement to get back into the ring, I am focused on this commitment, I am now more mature, I know what I want, I know how difficult it is to be a boxer, the sacrifices of this profession, but I am willing to make them with the purpose of having a good return," Chavez Jr. remarked.

With a big comeback in mind, he said that a victory he would once again position himself in the super middleweight division, and although his desire is to reign now at 168 pounds, he acknowledged that he will have to fight two or three more times to face a top level opponent.

"Before thinking about a big fight like the one I had with Sergio Martinez' or Canelo, I want to do two or three preparation fights. Against Canelo I was affected by inactivity and not being at that weight for a long time; I do not intend to risk my career, it is the plan that we have to bring back my career in the right manner," Chavez Jr. said.

Omar Chavez Vows To Reach His Dream of Being a World Champ

Today, becoming a world champion is a dream that seems far away for Omar Chávez.

However, the 29-year-old from Sinaloa wants to give one last pull to his career and refuses to take the easiest option, the retirement option, after losing two of his last three fights.

"I have always believed that I am good, but I need to have humility, to work hard. Talent, I think that it's there. Many people told me that I was going to be a champion, that I had more talent than my brother (Julio César) and I already felt like a champion, that I already had my belt on, but, truthfully, today I see that belt as being farther and farther away," said Omar (37-5-1, 24 KOs) to ESPN Deportes. "I have to win, because if I don't there is not much of a chance. Now I have to do it by force, because, if not, I'm worth sh*t."

Chavez is training at the Zaragoza Boxing Hall, the gymnasium of former world champion and compatriot, Daniel Zaragoza.

"I feel it is time to throw all the meat to the spit. Many say that I better retire, but it would be mediocre to retire. It's the easiest thing to do, but I'll do my best to fulfill my dream. I prefer to try than just give up and say, 'I could have been and I did not try,'" he reiterated.

Omar indicated that he wants to realize the relaunch of his career nor only for him, not because of his surname or his father, Julio César Chávez.

"Obviously I want to give my dad, my brother, my family a treat, but this time it's because of me. I have to do it for my future, I have to do my things, this is my job and hopefully I find something better after I retire, but I am looking at it for me, for creating a good future for me and my children. It's my legacy," said the boxer, who is promoted by Pepe Gómez from Cancun Boxing.

For his part, Zaragoza, who together with Rodolfo Chávez, Omar's uncle and coach, trains the fighter for his return on April 6 against Andrés Vil**n in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico, expressed confidence that his pupil will look better in his reappearance.

小查维兹还可以，毕竟他也是世界拳王。至少他曾经达到过这个高度。其实有很多拳手一直在拼搏，可能整个职业生涯都不能拿到金腰带，但是他们也会为此付出一生的努力。只是因为我们目光一直只盯着冠军，而忽视了这些人。曾几何时，小查拿600万的酬金的时候，阿瓦还只能拿100万左右的。如果说的没错，那个时候的3g酬金还不知有没有50万呢！小查维兹跟阿瓦的一场比赛至少也收入上千万。小查维兹算得上查维兹家族里面的骄傲。但是比起他的老爹，他确实没有他老爹伟大的品质意志。曾几何时，小查也是阿鲁姆手里的王牌。李宗伟千年第二，但是他产业投资上的成功是完全超越林丹的。
