Based on recent comments it looks as though Manny Pacquiao, who lost his WBO welterweight belt to Jeff Horn on July 1st, will be enforcing his rematch clause.
But when and where Pacquiao-Horn II takes place is uncertain for the time being.
Promoter Bob Arum admitted to BoxingScene.com on Wednesday - "I don't know, I would be guessing now. I don't want to say anything. I don't know when the (Filipino) Senate is going to be in session. We've got to do a lot of work and research on that and of course, even though as I've said, there's a lot of bandwidth on ESPN but we're in the college football season."
"So y'know, maybe I don't know, we go on a Friday night?,'' stated Arum, who still has to meet with Pacquiao.
The first go-around drew over 51,000 at Suncorp Stadium and having the rematch 'Down Under' only seems logical. To which the veteran promoter stated.
"I know every state in Australia is competing to show the rematch and I got my usual call from the Mid-East this morning(Saudi Arabia) and they're looking to do the rematch.
"So there's going to be a lot of interest in staging that rematch. When it will be, I just don't know."
