波特：如果WBC要求，则压力在丹尼加西亚一方

WBC次中量级1号拳王挑战者沙文 波特 (27-2-1, 17 KOs) ， 在等待关于和WBC2号挑战者丹尼 加西亚(33-1, 19 KOs)争夺次中量级过渡拳王头衔的正式回应。

      前一度世界拳击理事会WBC主席毛里西奥 苏莱曼曾对ESPN谈起 ，本组织次中量级拳王吉斯 瑟曼 因伤病等一些原因，已经不太可能在2018年一季度之前返回拳台，因此他希望促成本组织内1号挑战者（沙文 波特）和2号挑战者（丹尼 加西亚）争夺一条次中量级过渡拳王腰带。


     沙文波特在得知这一消息以后，立即发声表示愿意与丹尼加西亚一战，争夺这条次中量级过渡拳王腰带。但沙文 波特 截至目前仍没有得到来自WBC正式官方信息，同时也没有听到丹尼 加西亚一方的回应 。


      在这种状态之下沙文 波特在接受天空体育采访时说道：此战我还没有得到WBC发布的官方消息，但我就在这里，已经准备好了面对任何对手。尤其是丹尼 加西亚。我相信这对我是一场非常棒的大战，而粉丝们也同样喜欢。但许多大战只是人们的一种期待，总是由于酬金和另一方不愿意面对而搁浅。如果丹尼加西亚愿意要这条过渡拳王腰带，或者他想要这场大战，他将会和我走进拳台。如果丹尼加西亚为了钱，或者为了名声，我不认为他会面对我。我想WBC应当正式要求这件事，这样会给丹尼加西亚一方更多的促动，但前提条件还是他愿意面对我。




Porter: Pressure is on Danny Garcia if WBC Orders The Fight

Shawn Porter is waiting to see if the World Boxing Council will order him to take part in a showdown for the interim-WBC welterweight world title.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman told ESPN Deportes that he's going to order an interim-title fight because the current champion Keith Thurman is unlikely to return to the ring until the early part of 2018.

Thurman, who also owns the WBA world title, captured the WBC belt in March with a twelve round decision over Danny Garcia.

Thurman, who recently got married, suffered a bad elbow injury and has **ne surgery. He was planning to return to the ring by the end of the year. However, a few days ago it was revealed that Thurman would not be ready to fight until the first quarter of 2018.

Sulaiman indicated that they are looking for the best ranked fighters, who are ready and available, to order the match. The WBC will likely order the two highest ranked fighters to collide, and if either on them refuse then the sanctioning body will go down the list to the next available contender.

Currently, the WBC's number one ranked fighter is Shawn Porter (27-2-1, 17 KOs) and Danny Garcia (33-1, 19 KOs) is sitting in the number two slot.

Both boxers are advised by Al Haymon and fight under the Premier Boxing Champions banner.

"That fight is not official yet but as we said publicly, I am ready to fight anyone out there, especially someone like Danny Garcia," Porter told Sky Sports.

"I believe that is a really good fight for me and the fight fans as well, but a lot of things are speculated but never happen due to the economics and if the other side want it to happen. If a belt is on the line or something is on the line, Danny Garcia will fight me. If he's just fighting me for money or exposure, I don't think he'll do it. I think with the WBC kind of demanding it, it kind of puts more pressure on Danny Garcia but it's still if he wants that fight and when."
