Roach: Mikey Garcia Wants Pacquiao - I'd Love To See That Fight!
By Steve Kim
With a career that began in 1995 and nearly seventy bouts, most observers believe that Manny Pacquiao's impending rematch with WBO welterweight titlist Jeff Horn will be his swan song in the ring.
After all the 'Pac Man' is 38 years old and versus Horn on July 1st he started to really show physical erosion after years of tough battles inside the ring.
Horn (17-0-1, 11 KOs) walked away with a very unexpected twelve round unanimous decision to capture Pacquiao's belt at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

There was a rematch clause, which Pacquiao is exercising.
But when his trainer, Freddie Roach, is asked if this return bout with Horn will most likely be his last one, he told BoxingScene.com - "Not necessarily. I think we'll do well in the fight and if he retires I'll be happy for him. He's getting close to the end, of course. But there's a couple of guys out there that have made a little noise bout fighting him.
One of those names that Roach would love to have Pacquiao fight is three division champion Mikey Garcia (37-0, 30 KOs).
"Mikey Garcia came here [to the Wild Card Boxing Club] and asked if we'd fight him - I'd love to see that fight," Roach said.
Garcia is the reigning WBC lightweight champion. Last month at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Garcia defeated Adrien Broner over twelve rounds in a junior welterweight contest.
Currently, Pacquiao has a record of 59-7-2 (38 KO's) and a burgeoning political career in his homeland which in recent years have made it difficult for him to fully concentrate on the sport.
"We'll see,'' said Roach. "But at this point it's just fight-by-fight because he's towards the end of his career, yes, but I don't think its quite at the end, yet."
