IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) says Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) doesn’t have the strength to knock him out.
The two heavyweights are scheduled to collide at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on March 31.
During most of the pre-fight build-up, Parker and his handlers have questioned the stability of Joshua's chin.
But before they collide in the ring, the two boxers went face to face to trade words, during the Sky Sports program the 'Gloves Are Off.'
Parker is the underdog in the bout, but Joshua says the 26-year-old from New Zealand doesn’t have enough to create the upset.
During their face to face, Joshua placed the taunts about his chin on the table.
"He says I have a glass chin, I want to see if he has the power,” Joshua stated to the show mediator Johnny Nelson.
“I don't think he has enough power in his hand to detonate on my chin and knock me out.”
Parker, however, believes Joshua is going to be in for a shock when he connects with his first hard punch.
"Trust me, I have got the power," Parker stated back.
And then Joshua pushed the issue even further.
"Are you going to knock me out,” Joshua asked Parker.
And Parker gave him a confident reply.
”Yeah, of course I am,” he said.
They share common opponent in Carlos Takam. And both boxers had their fair share of trouble with the very durable contender.
The winner of the fight will be in position for a full unification with WBC world champion Deontay Wilder, who plans to be ringside that night as part of the Sky Sports broadcast team.
Wilder is crossing his fingers for Joshua to come away with win, as it means a lot more money if they face each other, but he also gives Parker a shot to pull off the win.
